Willie "Mackie Boy" Downs

Willie Mack Downs was born March 11, 1937 to the late George and Clara Lloyd Downs in Delhi, Louisiana.

Willie accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of Vaughn Street Church of Christ and later united with Tallulah Church of Christ.

He met and married Pinkie Washington in 1957. After the death of his wife, he married Maggie Lee Phillips Kelly, on March 14, 2003 in Rayville, Louisiana.

Willie Mack departed this life on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Pinkie; six sisters, and two brothers.

 He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Maggie Downs; three daughters, Linda Downs, Wanda (Bobby) Reynolds, and LaSonna Harmon; two sons, Willie Mack Rogers and James (Glenda) Kelly, Sr.; god-daughter, Brittney White; Eighteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Cynthia Washington and Jezebel Bates (Pearlon), both of Delhi, Louisiana; five brothers-in-law, Willie Washington and William Boston, both of Delhi, Louisiana; Gerlyn Washington (Retha), Charles Washington, and Tony Washington of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
