She passed away on October 2, 2023 at Deerfield Nursing Home. 

The family of Mother Willie Rancher Washington would like to thank everyone for your calls, texts, visits, and Facebook posts, whatever way you communicated. To all who would see her in town and came in contact with her, thank you for your kindness towards her. Dr. Enquirze, the hospital staff, Saint Frances staff on the 5th floor, and Crossroad Hospice staff, thank you for your tireless work and love you showed my mom.
