Willie Herbert Thomas (Hubbard) was born in Wisner, Louisiana, to the late Willie and Rose Lee Thomas on February 25, 1944. He passed away in his home on February 24, 2024. Willie grew up and attended school in the Wisner/Gilbert school system. He later found and married his love of over sixty years, Annie Mae McGraw. They, along with their two sons, John and Michael, soon made their home in the New Orleans area for many years and returned to Monroe, Louisiana, after hurricane Katrina. Willie worked in the factory business, truck driving industry, and was best known for being a master mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, bingo, and especially working on cars.
He leaves to cherish memories: his loving wife, Annie McGraw Thomas; two sons, John (Patricia) McGraw and Michael (Rhonda) McGraw; one other daughter in law, Joyce Poullard; four brothers, Johnny Thomas, Wilbert Thomas, Jerry Thomas, and Jackie Thomas; one sister, Rose Lee Thomas; six grandchildren, Chris McGraw, Brandon McGraw, Amber McGraw, Michael Henderson, Eric Henderson, and Eron Henderson; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Rose Lee Thomas; sisters, Addie Thomas and Geraldine Thomas; and one brother, Arthur Lee Thomas.
