Willie Zeigler (Jesse), age 78, transitioned to be with the Lord on February 13, 2025.
Willie was born on November 26, 1946, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Willie Zeigler, Sr., and Jessie Mae Jones Zeigler. He met and fell in love with Patricia G. Zeigler and entered into holy matrimony on July 12, 1980.
Willie’s passion was raising dogs, gardening, fishing, lawncare grooming, and cutting and grooming hair. Willie loved his family and friends very much. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Willie attended Tim Tippit and later attended Boley High where he played basketball. Willie worked at Fin And Feather Taxidermy as a taxidermist assistant for over 15 years, worked at Wendy’s, went on to work at Zeigler Tree Services as a tree cutter, and later continued his profession as a barber until retirement.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Patricia G. Zeigler of Monroe, LA; son, Kevin (Marcia) Scott of Forney, TX; granddaughter, Kevonna Scott of Shreveport, LA; goddaughter, Kiesha Jenkins of Monroe, LA; four sisters, Margie Johnson of Seattle, WA, Glenda Hall of Monroe, LA, Pamela (John) Thomas, and Dollicia (Roy) Jones; two brothers, Fredrick (Erma) Zeigler and Clifford Zeigler, both of Monroe, LA; special uncle, Alfred (Rita) Jones of Centennial, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Jessie Mae Zeigler; brother, Stanley Zeigler; and sister, Cecilla Gail Zeigler Morris.
