Willie Wallace

Willie Wallace was born on March 17, 1948, the first of eleven children born to the late Cleveland Jr. and Bessie Hill Wallace.

Willie grew up in Oak Ridge, LA, attending Ridgeway Elementary School, and he graduated from Union High School in Mer Rouge, LA. Following graduation, he moved to Monroe, LA, where he was employed at St. Francis Hospital and retired after 40 years of service.

He departed his earthly home on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Willie united in holy matrimony to Betty Wallace, and unto this union no children were born. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, parents, and sister, Ethel Wallace Rodgers.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Rhonda Tribble of Dallas, TX, LaShonda Johnson of Monroe, LA, and Nicholas Battle of Dallas, TX; six sisters, Lillie Greer (Leroy) of Dallas, TX, Jessie Boone (John) of Shreveport, LA, Dianna Williams of Shreveport, LA, Pearlie Hicks of Dallas, TX, Mattie Reynolds of Plano, TX, and Betty J. Wallace of Desoto, TX; three brothers, all from Dallas, TX, Elbert, Richard, and Shelby; seven grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
