Wayne Carroll Runions

Wayne Carroll Runions was born July 23, 1939 in Hampshire, TN to Malcom and Margie Runions. He departed this life on June 13, 2024. Wayne was passionate about playing music on his steel guitar and other stringed instruments. He played steel guitar with Gospel Echoes recording several records. He was the owner and operator of Runions Trucking and traveled 49 states and Canada. He was very Proud of his heritage and always told people, " I'm Cherokee Indian." wayne loved God and his family. 

Wayne was united in Holy Matrimony to his loving wife Joanne on March 31,1958 and together they spent a wonderful 66 years together. 

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother and father; Malcom & Margie Runions, brothers; Bud Runions, Chuck Runions, TR Runions, and Tom Runions.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years; Joanne Runions; sons, Ray Berry(Gail) of Payson, AZ, Bobby Wayne Runions(Betty), Kenny Runions( Jessica) of Hohenwald, TN, & David Runions(Michelle) of Swartz; one daughter, Annette Cawthon(Buster) of Epps, LA; Grandchildren, Anna Bredim(Bill), April Howe(Gary), Josh Berry(Megan), Angie Kitchens, Anthony Runions(Holly), Leigh Runions(Claire), Tara Runions, Kierra James, Nathan Carter, Jeremy Gowan, Lance Gowan(Jennifer), Kelli Henderson(Eric), Ronnie Cawthon, Amber Dunavant(Michael), Brittany Copeland(Andrew), Jessica Runions, Jerrid Runions, & Candace Runions(Cameron Lovitt); twenty-four Great Grand; two Great Great Grand
