With heavy hearts and loving remembrance, we celebrate the life and legacy of Vivian Densie Parson, who departed this earthly life on Monday, April 7, 2026.
Vivian was born on Friday, March 9, 1962, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Hazel Robinson Parson and Ernest Parson.
Vivian, lovingly known as “Nece” by her siblings and friends, was truly one of a kind. She was a free spirit, a diva, and a woman with a presence that could never be ignored. Vivian had a big personality — she was loving, strong, funny, faithful, and bold. She believed in telling the truth, standing on what she felt, and never pretending to be anything other than exactly who she was.
If you knew Vivian, then you knew she was going to tell it like it was. She didn’t believe in sugarcoating much, and she was not one to accept anyone’s foolishness. But underneath that strong exterior was a woman with a deep, genuine, and unwavering love for her family. Her heart was bigger than words, and she loved her people fiercely.
Vivian was a proud graduate of Richwood High School and later furthered her education at Delta Career College, where she graduated as Class Valedictorian with an outstanding 4.0 GPA. Her accomplishments reflected her determination, intelligence, and drive to succeed.
Vivian found joy in many things throughout her life. She loved cooking, listening to music, dancing, dressing up, and spending time with family. She carried herself with confidence and style, and she enjoyed being herself fully and unapologetically. She knew how to make people laugh, speak her mind, and leave a lasting impression wherever she went.
More than anything, Vivian was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. She often talked about them and carried them in her heart with pride and love. Her family meant everything to her, and she cherished the role of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Vivian leaves to cherish her memory her three beloved children: Celena Parson, Gabriel Parson, and Justina Parson.
She also leaves behind her six cherished grandchildren: Cenosha Marbles, Ceairra Marbles, Chad Marbles, Ha'Ziel Parson, Artinese Parson, and Ariel Parson; and her one precious great-grandson, Dentarrius Anderson.
Vivian was preceded in death by her beloved Sister Anglea Parson and Brother John Johnson, Jr and nephew, Ernest Michael Parson.
She also leaves behind a host of loving relatives, extended family, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her.
Though Vivian has departed this life, the memories she created, the laughter she shared, the truth she spoke, and the love she gave will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
