Viola “Bae” Williams was born on October 6, 1952 to the late Ora Lee Howard in Gilbert. LA.
She was reared by her loving adoptive parents John and Bertha Hill-Williams. She graduated from Waverly High School. She worked at Mastercrafters in Winnsboro, LA until her retirement. She was baptized at Pleasant Green Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dudley.
Viola married the late James Edward Williams Sr. and to this union 5 children were born. Viola loved reading, fishing, spending time with family, cooking and reading the Bible.
She was proceeded in death by her adoptive parents John and Bertha Hill-Williams and her mother, Ora Lee Howard. Viola is survived by her 3 sons Michael DeWayne (Nicole) Williams, San Antonio, TX, James Edward Williams Jr., Monroe, LA, Jason Ray (Jessica) Williams, Arlington, TX and 2 daughters, Sharon Denise Williams-BoBo, Monroe, LA and Jessica Louise (DeMario) Williams- Alston, Arlington, TX; her brothers and sisters, 26 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her lifelong friends, Willie Jo Henderson-Jones and Doris McDowell. Also survived by two lifelong friends she considered to be sisters Clara Louise Wilson and Althea “Alto” Reed.
