Venetta Lee Cockerm

Venetta Cockerm (Nett) 58, of Dallas, TX passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on December 11, 2021, after a life long battle of kidney disease which led to a sudden cardiac arrest.

She was born on May 31, 1963, in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of the late Anderson Berry Cockerm and the late Jerri Cockerm. She is preceded in death by both her parents, sister Rhonda Shaw- Williams, grandmother Margaret Shaw, aunt Bealuh Wilson, and nephew Tracy Shaw.

Venetta is survived by her husband Alvin. Her children: Brandi {T'Carion}, Campbell, Port Richey, FL) Melanie {Raymond} Coleman ,Oak Point, TX) and Jackquelyn {Donald} Clay, Dallas, TX) Her eight grand children Tracy Jackson Jr, Brandyn Jackson, Jacob Coleman, Jadon Clay, Tayler Jackson, Jalyn Clay, Jade Clay and TaKoda Campbell. Siblings: Rise Cockerm , {Kansas City, MO}, Anderson Berry Cockerm Jr , {San Antonio, TX} and Margaret Cockerm, {Dallas, TX}. Nieces Denise Shaw, Danisha Shaw, Shemeka Cockerm, and LaTisha Cockerm as well as a host of other great nieces, great nephews, relatives and close friends.

Venetta loved to garden and had a green thumb. All that knew her could attest to the beautiful flowers and plants she always kept. Venetta also enjoyed several other hobbies which included fishing, collecting antique dolls, China sets, and attending tea parties, grilling, bingo, football as well as creating personalized arts & crafts.
