Travis Gray was born on September 14, 1955, in Rayville, Louisiana, to GL and Mattie Gray.
Travis attended Holly Ridge High School. He went on to work as a construction foreman for fifteen years. He was a master mechanic all his life. He also was a transportation driver for Parkview Church of Christ.
He met his loving wife in October 1980, in Rayville, Louisiana. Travis enjoyed going fishing, playing dominoes, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, GL and Mattie Gray, and his brother, Jimmy Gray.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Vera Thomas Gray; children, Travis S. Gray, Sr., Franchester Griffin, Tamekia Lewis, Alfredo Lewis, Veronica Lewis, LaDeanna Davis, Malaysia Davis, and Shaquirea Lewis; siblings, Suzetta Myers (Russell), Mary Conner (Willie), Lillie Brooker, Clara Weaver (David), Georgia Ashley (Sherman), Deloris Robinson (Roger), Hilda Kendrick, Gracie Houston, and Gary Gray (Silvia); and a host of other relatives and friends.
