Stanton Renald Johnson was born May 2, 1968, in Monroe, Louisiana to parents, the Late Hezekiah Johnson and Joyce C. Johnson. He traded time for eternity on April 28, 2020 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church. He graduated from Neville High School and briefly attended Grambling State University. He later graduated from the National Guard.
He was employed by the Richwood Correctional Center, where he was ranked as a Lieutenant, and Pecaland Mall, where he served as a security guard for many years.
He was well known as "Stan the Man," which he was affectionately called by those who knew him. He was tall in statue and had the heart to match. He was the epitome of II Thessalonians 3:10 which says, "for even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." He was such a hard worker, always willing to go the extra mile to make sure his family had everything that they needed.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Joyce C. Johnson of Monroe, Louisiana; daughter, Eboni Stewart-Elliot (Randy) of Monroe, Louisiana; sister, Angela Johnson-Campbell of Monroe, Louisiana; a brother, Derrick Pugh of Seattle, Washington; two special sons, Joshua and Matthew Bracken of Monroe, Louisiana; a devoted partner and friend, Tina Bracken of Monroe, Louisiana; three grandsons, Amari, Aalijah, and A'darian, all three of Monroe, Louisiana; two nephews, Jermand Johnson of Monroe, Louisiana and Shauntorian Campbell of Bethlehem, Georgia; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
