“A son was born to Joe Louis Johnikin and Gloria Jean Johnikin on April 16, 1963, in Monroe, Louisiana, and he was named -
Stanley D. Johnikin.
He was washed off at Elging Spring on Highway 2 to the best of my knowledge. He was taken to Conway Hospital to be checked even further. Stanley too was born a leader to love. We were married 25 years ago in Eldorado, Arkansas. He had several children: Tonique Fields, Marcus Fields, and Demarius Fields. He also had one more child named Zion Israel Johnikin, born in 2008. Through all of our good, bad, and ugly, if I had a chance to do it all over again. This man whether people know it or not I would do it all over again. I’m going to say one more thing: he led me to Christ. Without him I never would have known Jesus and given God all the Glory. For this I give God all the praise. Catch me on Sunday morning at the Lion of Tribe of Judah and sat a few and I’ll tell you all about him. But there is one thing I wouldn’t take nothing for the journey. Ain’t tired yet.”
He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Johnikin.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Mary Johnikin; children, Tonique Fields, Demarius Fields, Marcus Fields, and Zion Johnikin; sibilings, Ricky and Dyanthlyn Johnikin, Phyllis Johnikin, and Jana and Vincent James; and a host of other relatives and friends.
