Sherryl Ann Minniefield was born the proud daughter to the late Elbert and Maybell Chambers on July 7, 1955, in Monroe, Louisiana.
Mercifully, the Most High called her to take her place on December 7, 2025, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
Sherryl Ann Minniefield was the life of every room she entered. Given the nickname Smiley, love and laughter would always be her companion. She was very loving, caring and family oriented. She thrived throughout her life as a caregiver, housekeeper, and childcare with warm hospitality and was loved dearly by family and friends.
Sherryl was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, and one granddaughter, JaKia Elisha Chambers.
Sherryl leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life and best friend, Edward (Pop) Howlett of Monroe, Louisiana; two daughters, Sammie Chambers and Shirley Chambers, both of Monroe, Louisiana; and two sons, Thomas Chambers (Sharon) and Earl Chambers, both of West Monroe, Louisiana. Also cherishing her memory are her one sister, Lettice Hearn (John) of West Monroe, Louisiana, and five brothers, Flynn Chambers (Gloria) of West Monroe, Louisiana, Jimmy Chambers (Ruby), and Charles Chambers (Rosetta), both of Monroe, Louisiana, Ray Chambers of Calhoun, Louisiana, and Tyrone Chambers of Shreveport, Louisiana; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and three goddaughters, Tameika Brantley of Ruston, Louisiana, Jasmines Blackston, and Javonda Hodrick, both of Monroe, Louisiana.
