Shelvin Fransico Walker was born December 7, 1968, in Monroe, Louisiana, to proud parents the late Ollie Mae Walker and Virgil Lee Walker.
At an early age he accepted Christ and united with St. James No. 2 under the leadership of Reverend JJ Stewart.
He attended Neville High School. Following high school, he obtained his CDLs and drove various trucks for over twenty-five years, until his health declined.
Shelvin was family oriented. He truly loves his family and friends. He was an all-around loyal friend and hard worker. Shelvin was just an amazing person.
Shelvin leaves to cherish his memories: a special friend, Mary Anderson and Marvin Jones (Nerissa); five children, De’Terrion (Emily), Brandon, ChonDricka, Averyon, and Brittany; one sister, Jatuanna Latrese Walker Newton; one and only very special niece, Jakasia Katrese Walker Newton; five uncles; five aunts; sixteen grandchildren; Shelvin also had very special friends who bare the barer: Leon “Bubbs” Berry (Tina), Steve “Fly” Porter (Yvonne), Jason Cole (Andrea), Ron Dorsey (Melissa), Micheal Staten, Tony Carradine (Lamisa), and Charles Bailey (Veronica).
