Sallie Mae Robinson Brown

You must not grieve so solely,

Sallie Mae Robinson Brown was born on Friday, September 13, 1947 in Franklin Parish, Louisiana to Betty Robinson Gilmore and Mose Landis.

Sallie confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Saint John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend DW Allen then the late Reverend EJ McFarland, and Reverend ML McFarland until her illness prevented her from attending services. She served as a deaconess and she held several offices in the church before her health stopped her.

She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mack Thomas.

We pause in solemn and grateful remembrance of our loved one that departed this life on May 1, 2021 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She cherished her memories: her daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Walter); her grandsons, Gregory DeMarcus of Mississippi and Walter Alex of Winnsboro; her sister, Zettie Gilmore Dorsey; brother-in-law, Charles E. Dorsey, Sr. of Winnsboro, Louisiana; her sister, Mary Miles (Reverend C. Miles) of Monroe, Louisiana; her brother, Mose Robinson, Sr. (Lilly) of Monroe, Louisiana; her God-children, Lakeisha Johnson, Yolanda Lynn Harris, Ronald Harris, Edric Harris, Reverend Herman Harris, Jr.; her God-grandchildren, Juankimla Robinson of Dallas, Texas, and Brandy Robinson of Winnsboro, Louisiana; her aunt, Zettie Robinson of Winnsboro, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Special thanks to a dear friend, Allison Caston; Temesha (Mookie) Kelly; Rosie Armstrong Dickens; a devoted cousin, Ida Robinson Blunt; and a special son, Benny Wayne Johnson.
