Sister Ruby Nell Puckett departed this life on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 8:15 PM.
She was the fifth child born of the late Mr. Willie Lee Puckett, Sr., and Lula Mae Carter Puckett in Monroe, Louisiana, on May 26, 1956.
She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Reverend James Lee. She attended and graduated Delhi High School in 1974. After graduating she moved to Tallulah, Louisiana, and worked as a cook at the TA Truck Stop. She then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada for ten years before moving back to Delhi, Louisiana. While in Delhi she worked at Fred’s Dollar Store and as a direct care worker for many years before recently moving to Monroe.
She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, then under the leadership of Reverend Terry Moore, and currently Reverend Johnny Robinson. She was a faithful member and served under many ministries.
Ruby was loved by many and left an everlasting mark of encouragement and love with most that she came in contact with. She was truly a woman of God’s own heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and most importantly, caring for them. She was funny, honest, loyal, compassionate, and full of love.
