Rose Lynn Jones

Rose L. Jones was born December 4, 1961, to the late Reverend John Strange and the late Mrs. Nelbie Robinson. Rose departed this life on March 20, 2022, while in the service at New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, after a lengthy illness.

She was baptized at an early age. She joined New Fellowship Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Danniel Dixon, where she remained a faithful member until her departure from this life.

Rose was married to Milton Jones, Sr., and to this union three children were born, one of whom preceded her in death, Milton Jones, Jr.

Rose quietly slipped into eternal rest on March 20, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving sons, Aaron D. Jones, Sr., and Tramarcus D. Jones, both of Delhi, Louisiana; two sisters, Robin Jordan of Delhi, Louisiana and Phyllis Hay of Seattle, Washington; Vanessa McMillion of Monroe, Louisiana; Mary E. Bishop-Lee of San Antonio, Texas; one special aunt, Elizabeth Kelly of Oakland, California; special friend, James Smith of Des Allemands, Louisiana; two God-daughters, Iveonna Tillery and Porshella Dorsey, both of Monroe, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Aaron D. Jones, Jr., Ashari Jones, Nolin Jones, Alarreon Dunlap, Ari Dunlap, Aryn Dunlap, and Ladarius Houston; two godsisters, Marie F. White and Ira Tyler of Delhi, Louisiana; three close personal friends, Barbara Smith, Chrystal Washington, and Kizzy Brown; very close cousins, Diana Berry, Odessa McCann, and Bernitha Whitney; very special niece, Jessica Jordan; two special nephews, Eric Douglas and Derrick Douglas of Monroe, Louisiana; the CDF Healthcare and Delta American Healthcare families; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her son, Rose was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Jordan; one brother, Tyrone McMillion of Monroe, Louisiana; and one daughter-in-law, Tanishia Pearson Jones.
