Robert Lee Ethridge

Robert Lee Ethridge was born on January 23, 1956, to Robert Diggins and Ruth Ethridge. Robert’s journey ended on December 20, 2025. He was called home to be with the Lord.

Robert was raised in the Booker T. Community of Monroe and attended Monroe City school system. He was employed at an early age with the City of Monroe and laborer of other various jobs until relocating to Texas.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Diggins, Sr., and Ruth Ethridge Green; brother, Robert “Lil Buddy” Diggins, Jr.; and daughter, Michelle Smith.

Robert had four children whom he loved dearly, and his memories will forever live on through his children and family. Memories will be cherished by his children, Robert Smith of Las Vegas, NV, Mikkiya Smith-Williams of Ruston, LA, Prentis King of Monroe, LA, and Lamon King of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Carl Ethridge of Monroe, LA, and Lawrence Green of Pine Bluff, AR; one sister, Belinda Ethridge Cox of Lake Charles, LA; ten grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
