Robert Earl Bass, Sr.

Robert Earl Bass, Sr., was born on December 30, 1957, to the late Jessie and Octavia Payton Bass. He was the second of four children.

Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very early age at Galilee Baptist Church of Start, Louisiana. Later, he joined New Galilee Baptist Church. He received his education from the Richland Parish school system. He also attended Delta College. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

Robert met and married the love of his life, Jacqueline, on August 31, 1979, and to this union, four children were born. He and Jackie sacrificed and worked to provide.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Octavia Payton Bass; father, Jessie Lee Bass, Sr.; and brother, Jessie Lee Bass, Jr.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: his loving wife, Jacqueline Bass; four children, Cherie, Robert Jr., Aston, and Joshua, all of Monroe, LA; one brother, Charlie Bass of Monroe, LA; one God-sister, Jacqueline Horton of Shreveport; four grandchildren, Aston Bass, Jr., Achilles Bass, Rodrick Bass, and Aja Bass; three sisters, Linda Robinson of Rayville, LA, Kelly Ricks of Monroe, LA, and Naomi Randolph (Jon) of North Carolina.
