Obituary
Reverend James W. Lee, Sr., was born on February 3, 1951, to the late and proud parents Author and Martha Lee in Epps, Louisiana. He was the third child of seven. James graduated from Magnolia High School in Pioneer. From there he joined the military in 1971.
During the early evening of June 20, 2026, James relinquished his mortal shell and embraced his eternity. Waiting to embosom him were his parents, Author and Martha Lee; two sisters, Joyce Hunter and Alma Lee; one brother, Author Lee; and one daughter, Altura Lee Hudson.
Reverend Lee received Christ at the early age of ten and joined the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He was called to his ministry on April 5, 1984, and was licensed on June 6, 1984. He went on to be ordained by his pastor, Reverend A.B. Allen on December 28, 1986. He later became the pastor of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Reverend Lee leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Fleurette “CoCo” Williams (Edward) Edward; three sons, James “Tank” Lee, James “Man” Lee (April), all of Delhi, LA, and Tremontae Singleton of Houston, TX; a goddaughter, Lafayette Anderson Davis (Searcy) of Pineville, LA; one sister, Lonnie Lee of Epps, LA; two brothers, Alton Lee (Betty) of Winnsboro, LA, and Hondra Lee of Dallas, TX; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
