“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
-II Timothy 4:7 (King James Version)
REVEREND CARLOS DAMON PERRY was born March 1, 1966, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to the parentage of Pastor John L. Perry, Sr., and Mary J. Williams Perry. He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at the King Ollie Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend S.L.V. Johnson. After graduation from the Ouachita Parish High School of Monroe, Louisiana, he attended the Louisiana Tech University under an Airforce Scholarship, and after several semesters, he joined the United States Army.
He became a skilled musician under the tutelage of Carl Cloman and afterwards was self-taught.
In 1994, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri and met the love of his life, Michelle Franks Perry, and they were united in holy matrimony on November 18, 1995. To this union was born one child who preceded him in death.
He acknowledged his call to the ministry and was ordained in St. Louis and became the Pastor of the New Generation Bible Fellowship Church. He founded and owned PMG Quality Services, LLC. He worked at Conoco Phillips Oil Refinery until his retirement, after which he and his family returned to his childhood home.
He reunited with his home church the King Ollie Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of his father, Pastor John L. Perry, Sr., where he worked diligently in several ministries in addition to serving as one of the Associate Ministers and Administrative Assistant to the pastor.
He was preceded in death by one (1) daughter, Yvonne Anique Perry (preceded him in death); two (2) brothers: Robert Williams, Jeffry A. Perry, Sr.; and one (1) sister, Beatrice Williams.
