Raymond “Cuz” Newton was born April 15, 1957, to the union of the late Colony D. Newton, Sr., and Mamie Colvin Newton.
Raymond was a hardworking, tranquil, devoted, and dedicated employee with the City of Monroe - Monroe Regional Airport and Budget Rentals.
He succumbed his earthly life on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Ochsner LSU Medical Center-Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his father, Colony Newton, Sr., and brothers, Augusta “Mose” Whitfield, Elijah “Bo Jack” Whitfield, Colony D. “Hunchie” Newton, Jr., and Paul Newton.
He leaves to cherish his loving and fond memories: his wife, Elizabeth Ann Williams; four daughter, LaTosha Williams of Grand Prairie, TX, Kezzie Williams of Grand Prairie, TX, Brenda Botello of Austin, TX, and Tarkisha Williams of Monroe, LA; five sons, Raymond Williams of Grand Prairie, TX, Reverend Timothy Williams of Monroe, LA, Kardavis Williams of Monroe, LA, Joseph Williams of Monroe, LA, (Cotillion), and Tardale (Cotillion) Williams of Houston, TX; a very loving and devoted mother, Mamie Colvin Newton; sisters, Cessie Newton of Monroe, LA, Luella (Reuben) Wade of Houston, TX, and Malesta Lamb of Monroe, LA; three brothers, Tommy Lee (Shelia) Newton of Monroe, LA, Willie Ray (Rebecca) Newton of Monroe, LA, and Ricky D. Newton of Monroe, LA; sister-in-love, Genevia Murphy of St. Louis, MO; three brothers-in-love, Arthur Williams of Kansas City, KS, Billy Jo Williams of Monroe, LA, and Robert George of Kansas City, KS; special niece, Karshena Newton-Tolliver; special nephews, Elijah Whitfield, Kamashion Tolliver, Sr., Bryant Newton, and Roderick Griffin, Sr.; best friends, Henry Grant and Sonny Banks; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
