Ray Charles Polly was born on July 8, 1954, to Charlie Polly, Sr., and Beulah May Polly in Monroe, Louisiana. He was the fourth of 12 children. Ray Charles confessed to Christ and was baptised at an early age. Ray loved his family. He was a kind, peaceful, giving and loving person. Ray carried a smile wherever he went, to know him was to love him.
Ray Charles later moved to Texas City, Texas, and on to Los Angeles, California, where he departed this life. Ray was a Painter and Electrician by trade. Ray met Rosyln Lathan in Los Angeles, California. In Orange County, California, they were joined in Holy matrimony. Through their union one child was born, (Keva Rayette Polly). Ray was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Polly, Sr., Mother Beulah, and two brothers: Vernon Lee May, Charlie Polly, Jr.
Ray leaves to cherish his wife, Rosyln Polly of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Keva Rayette Polly of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Marquez Robinson, Mariah Robinson and Aaron Robinson, all of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Danny Ray Polly, Larry Polly, Richard Polly all of Delhi, Louisiana, Steve Polly (Cynthia) Polly of Houston, Texas; five sisters, Christine McDowell of Monroe, Louisiana, Coral Polly Young (Eddie Young) Delhi, Louisiana; Belinda Polly Delhi, Louisiana; Lora Polly Washington (Ray) Delhi, Louisiana; Glenda Polly Monroe, Louisiana; uncles and aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
