Ray Anthony Johnson was born on February 22, 1961, in Monroe, Louisiana to the late K. Ford and Inez Johnson.
Ray accepted Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member and served as a Deacon at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Johnny Robinson.
Ray was a 1979 graduate of Delhi High School. Ray dedicated 43 years of his life to Delta America Healthcare, where he was a loved, valued boss and employee. He also spent time refereeing basketball games, and was a member of the LHSOA.
Ray was a caring, dependable, and loving soul with a smile that could light up any room, fashion only HE could wear, and dance moves only he could teach!
On July 28, 2024, Ray transitioned to his heavenly eternal home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Inez and K. Ford Johnson; five brothers, James Johnson, Willie Sparrow, Larry Johnson, K. Ford Johnson, Jr., and Donald Johnson.
Ray leaves to cherish: one daughter, Rachael Finex of California; one brother, Van “Pete” Johnson (Ruby) of Delhi, LA; three sisters, Gertha Lee (Willie) of Delhi, LA, Cynthia Polly (Stevie Sr) of Houston, TX, Lona Byrd (Reginald) of Houston, TX; two grandsons, Marcus McGeilberry and Makhi McGeilberry; godmother, Ms. Eddie Turner; two godsisters, Jennifer Willis and Janice Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
