Quinton DeWayne Carter, Sr.

Quinton DeWayne Carter, Sr. was born on July 15, 1984, in Monroe, Louisiana, the eldest of two sons to Derrick DeWayne Riser and Lisa Carter-Riser.

     He attended Sallie Humble Elementary School, Carroll Jr. High, and Carroll High School.

     Quinton accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with Greater Free Gift Missionary Baptist Church on February 29, 2004 and was baptized on March 8, 2004 by Bishop Rodney McFarland, I

     He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Clarke Thornton.

    Quinton departed this life on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

     He leaves to mourn: Parents, Derrick Dewayne and Lisa Riser; grandmother, Herbie “Duke” Carter;  one son, Quinton DeWayne Carter, Jr., and one daughter, A’riah Neshelle Jones, Dallas, Texas; one brother, Christopher Michael Carter; three aunts; Catherine Wright, Sheila Carter-Newton (Rev. Tommy), and Dr. Stephanie Carter-Robin (Brian), Little Neck, New York; two uncles; Willie Wright and Travis Carter, Sr. (Patricia), Austell, Georgia and a host of cousins, close relatives and friends.
