Quincy Earl Carr, Sr. was born on June 30, 1955 to the late Jeff and Marie Carr of Sterlington, Louisiana. Quincy attended Eastside High School in Farmerville, Louisiana, and also Linville High School in Linville, Louisiana. He later moved to Sterlington, Louisiana. Quincy was happily married twice. To the first union, four children were born. During his marriage with Stacy Hatcher, four more children were born.
Quincy was a hardworking and loving man.
Quincy, affectionately known as “Q-Dog,” loved gardening and working on cars. Quincy went on to retire from J. Barr Construction.
Quincy is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Sonny, Cornelius, Sam, and Curtis; four sisters, Johnnie Sims, Dorothy Lee Richardson, Ida Mae Neal, and Doris Pastor.
Quincy leaves to cherish his memories: eight children, Jay Mitchell; Daniel Mitchell (Michelle), Anita Carr-Singleton (Fredrick), Quincy E. Carr, Jr. (Nichole), Roshon Carr, Kaneisha Carr, Brandon Carr and Victoria Carr; One Sister, Mary Carr; Four Brothers: Charles Carr, Jeff Carr (Mary), Willie Carr (Betty), and Otis Carr of Detriot, Michigan; god-daughter, Elaina Wade; god-son, Corey Taylor; 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
