With loving hearts and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of PORSCHE SHANTE SPIVEY, age 46, who was born on October 1, 1979, in Monroe, Louisiana, at E.A. Conway Hospital to the late Gloria Blondell Spivey and the late John Wesley Spivey. She peacefully departed this life in Monroe, Louisiana.
Porsche was raised in the Tanglewood and Pine Bayou communities of Monroe, Louisiana. She attended Ouachita Parish Schools and proudly graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1998. Porsche later dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Medical Assistant at the Gastroenterology Clinic of West Monroe, Louisiana. Through her work, she touched many lives with her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help those in need.
At an early age, Porsche accepted Christ and was baptized at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in West Monroe, Louisiana. Her faith and upbringing helped shape the caring and loving person she became.
Porsche had a vibrant personality and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved talking on the phone, spending time with her family, riding bikes, riding horses, crafting, and keeping her yard neat by mowing her lawn. She especially treasured the moments she shared with her children and grandchildren, who brought great happiness to her life.
Porsche was preceded in death by her loving parents, Gloria Blondell Spivey and John Wesley Spivey, and her beloved niece, J’Maia Spivey.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories her devoted life partner of 28 years, Walter Hicks; loving stepfather, Frankie Troy Smith; four loving children, D’Tyvion Hicks, D’Kira Spivey, L’Davion Hicks, and Kylee Spivey; five precious grandchildren, Brooklynn Walker, Major Hicks, Legend Walker, Londynn Hicks, and Zylyn Hicks; three sisters, Latecia Johnson, Nedrea Spivey, and Kimberly Spivey; five brothers, Bobby Sanders, Terrance Reed, Brian Robinson, Gaberial Robinson, and Jon Wesley Clay; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Though she will be deeply missed, Porsche’s love, laughter, and spirit will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love and devotion to family will never be forgotten.
