Patrick LeeJames Decator Obituary

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

                                                           Psalms 23:6

December 29, 2020 at 1:00 a.m. our beloved Patrick Lee James Decator entered into eternal rest.

Patrick was born July 23, 1977 to Pamela Turner and Herbert Lee Decator at E.A. Conway Medical Center in Monroe, LA. Under the leadership of Dr. B.J. Washington, Patrick was baptized at Free Gift Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir. His elementary and junior high school years were spent at Little Flower Academy. He attended St. Frederick High School his freshman year, thereafter completing his education at Neville High School in May 1995.  Upon graduation from high school, he attended Prairie View A&M and LA Tech University. In December of 1996, Patrick relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, residing there for 21 years.  Patrick was employed with Southern Nevada Health District as a Health Records Assistant for 15 ½ years. He joined the Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ in Las Vegas, Nevada, and later, he moved his membership to Victory Baptist Church of Las Vegas, Nevada. Patrick loved to travel throughout the United States including St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands. His travels also included international places such as Honduras and Belize. His hobbies included cooking, singing, and meeting new people.  His passion was spending time with his family and friends. Patrick returned home to Monroe July 2017, re-establishing his membership with the Greater Free Gift Baptist Church. He worked at the Monroe City Court as a Criminal Deputy Clerk of Court which suited his personality because he loved to help everyone in anyway that he could.
