Patricia Ann Jordan-Ellis Obituary

A Legacy of Love

Patricia Ann Jordan-Ellis was born January 9, 1959 in Monroe, Louisiana.

She transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. She was surrounded by family & friends who said their final earthly goodbyes and offered up prayers that God moves & that His will be done.  With gospel music being played in the background, Patricia took her rest from her earthly toils to enter into eternal rest with the Lord.

She professed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Free Gift Baptist Church, where Doctor B.J. Washington was her pastor.

Patricia had a zeal for life and for people. She loved to cook, go fishing, travel and would often be known to jump in the car at a moment’s notice going to visit the pride & joys of her life, her grandchildren. Every summer she would drive to pick up her grandkids to bring them back home to Tennessee for the summer.

Patricia graduated with the Class of 1977 from Richwood High School and attended Northeast Louisiana University. She was married to the love of her life, Robert Ellis Jr.

She will be fondly remembered as a well-loved person who always had a word of advice and listening ear. Her outgoing personality & wit was a magnet that drew people to her from all walks of life. She leaves us with a legacy of love, service to mankind & sense of family.  She was one who did not judge a person's plight in life but instead offered alternative ways to help them deal with their situation. She spoke her mind and didn't sugar coat her advice she gave to those who came to her for wisdom & direction. She was truly a rare find, a jewel who unselfishly gave of her time and self to help make this world a better place.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Warren & Birdia Jordan, and her nephew, Derrick Jerome Jordan.

Left to cherish her memories are her devoted & loving husband, Robert Ellis Jr. of Gallatin, Tennessee; her 7 children, Chresancio Maurice Jordan of Dallas, Texas; Tameka Nicole Jordan of Dallas (special friend - Bendarius Moses); LaDarrius Jordan of Monroe, Louisiana (wife - Aimee); Chiquita Michelle Jordan of Monroe, Louisiana; Cornelius Cortez Jordan of Monroe, Louisiana; Marsharika Maria Jordan of Monroe, Louisiana (special friend - Donterrance Taylor); and Kialynshia Jasmine Jordan of Monroe, Louisiana; 5 siblings, Vickie Jordan Boulden of Corpus Christi, Texas (husband - Willie); Penny Jordan Williams of Dayton, Ohio (husband - Micheal); Angela Jordan of Sugarland, Texas; Marvin Jordan of Prosper, Texas (wife - Sandra); and Tammye Jordan McCall of Richmond, Texas (husband - Ronald), her 17 Grandchildren, D'Avion, Travion, Jay'Vion, Zavion, Kavion, Rihanna, Bendarius, Sabrina, Royalty, Malay'sia, Caleb, Cornelius, Madison, Aimeea, Armoni, Jamei'Lynn, and Jacieon; and her step-mother, Emma Jackson-Jordan of Richwood, Louisiana.

She also leaves to mourn her passing a host of other relatives & friends.

Patricia will be greatly missed but her legacy shall forever live & remain in our hearts.
