On January 13, 2025, Pastor Inez Walker, 73, of Monroe, Louisiana, peacefully transitioned from this life to her eternal reward. Born on July 7, 1951, in Monroe, Louisiana, Inez was the beloved daughter of the late Louis Torrence and Nancy Matthews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, TA Bolton, and Sister Inette Earl Bolton.

Pastor Inez Walker was a devoted servant of God and the founder and Overseer of the Refuge Healing International Ministry Incorporated, Chapter 1. Her ministry was a refuge for countless souls, providing healing, hope, and spiritual guidance to all who sought her wisdom. Her commitment to spreading the Gospel extended beyond the church walls as the host of Watch GOD. In this weekly television program, she passionately discussed God’s word in depth, bringing hope, inspiration, and understanding to viewers across the region. Her unwavering faith and dedication to spreading God’s Word were the cornerstones of her life.

Known for her compassionate heart and powerful prayers, Pastor Walker touched the lives of many, both within her church and in the broader community. She was a guiding light, a counselor, and a spiritual mother to those who looked to her for leadership. Her teachings and example of faith will continue to inspire generations to come.

Pastor Walker is survived by six children: Thomas Walker (Maureen), Sherita Williams (Shundell), James Walker, Theallas Walker, Timothy Jenkins, and Shemika Walker. She is also survived by two brothers, Sammy and James Torrence, twenty grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a loving church family who will forever cherish her legacy of faith and service.
