I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
II Timothy 4:7-8
In the brightness of God's glory, on July 22, 1951, in Rayville, Louisiana, the late Woodrow and Ida Perkins were blessed with a beautiful bundle of joy, Nora Lee Perkins.
Nora attended Eula D. Britton from Elementary through High School. She was baptized and became a member of Pleasant Grove #2 in Rayville, Louisiana, under leadership of Reverend Harris.
She moved to Monroe, Louisiana, and joined Piney Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Donald Woods. She remained a dedicated servant of the mother's board, deaconess board, and trustee board, and she was a lead usher and city-wide usher under the Senior Pastor Pernell Ford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Ida Perkins; three sisters, Annie B., Lula, and Rosetta; three brothers, Woodrow Jr., Abe, Richard, and her baby boy, Harry Holland, Jr.
As she departs to her home in Heaven, she will be mourned and cherished by: her beloved husband of forty years, Wille Stubblefield; two sisters, Maerell Perkins and Brenda Perkins; four brothers, Charles (Gwen) Perkins, Gerald Perkins, Tommy Perkins, and Howard Perkins; her children by whom her legacy will live on, Lamisa (Tony) Carradine and LeMarkits Holland; ten grandchildren, LeMarkits, LeMarkits Jr., Antionette (Tatiana), DeMario, Alisa, Joelisa, Aniya, Courday, Marzaline, and Marion; two great-grandchildren; godchildren, Rachaelle Matthews and Willie Dunn; uncle, Lionell; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She will be forever cherished, loved, and sorely missed by her family, friends, and love ones.
