Niver Ann “Nay Nay” Handy was born on March 7, 1984, to Ruthie Bonner and Roderick Williams, Sr. in Monroe, LA. Niver accepted Christ at an early age.
Niver enjoyed taking care of kids, playing cards, and hanging with family and friends. Niver brought light into any room as she slips in a joke, when you were not paying attention. It was her way of letting you know that everything would be alright. She was preceded in death by her mom, Ruthie Bonner, her brother, Patrick “Pat-Pat” Bonner, and her grandmother, Arnita Talton.
Niver leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 27 years, Johnny Handy; sons: Adan Shaw and Hakeem Shaw; three daughters: Naylashia Bonner, Robert’Nique Bonner, and John’Sharricka Herron; one Godchild: Gorgeous Stovall; father Roderick Williams, Sr.; Grandmother: Ruthy Bonner; nine sisters: Ruthie “Ke-Ke” Bonner, Patricia & Patrica “Twins” Bonner, Laveshella “Be-Be” Bonner, Martavia “Tae-Tae” Bonner, Marchanita “Sweetea” Williams, Tongia “Tee” Hill-Moy, Shakelia Woods and Tamiya Smith; one brother: Roderick Williams, Jr.; two aunts: Caroyln Hearns and Cassity Williams; five uncles: Elton “Peanut” Bonner, Curtis Bonner, Cradell Williams, Andrick Williams, and Cedric Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her two best friends, Tiffany Henry and Shemia Clark.
