Marie Patrick Jackson was born on August 12, 1940 to the late Simon and Roberta Wyatt Patrick. She was one of five children.
Marie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very young age, and remained faithful to her Christian duties at the New Galilee Baptist Church, where she served as President of the Usher Ministry for many years until her health failed.
She received her education in the Richland Parish School System, and was a wonderful homemaker, wife, and mother. Her most passionate thing was spending time with her family.
Marie met and married the love of her life, Eddie Jackson, on May 25, 1955, and to this union, five children were born. She and Eddie sacrificed and worked to educate their children and taught them to love the Lord.
On October 18, 2020, the angel of silence came to Marie and sealed her lips. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Simon and Roberta Patrick; her soulmate, Eddie Jackson, one daughter, Lois Patrick; three sisters and one brother.
Her life and legacy will be remembered by her children: Michael Jackson, Jacqueline J. Bass (Robert), Steven Jackson (Shelia), and Bertha J. Sanders, all of Monroe, Louisiana; and Brenda J. Britton of Scott, Louisiana; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and New Galilee Baptist Church Family.
