We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Delhi
Lillie Williams Veals, known to all as “Aunt Lillie,” 107, entered this world on January 12, 1915. She was born in Franklin Parish, Louisiana, to the late Brad and Francis Williams. She was a housewife. She began her spiritual walk with the Lord many years ago at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. For many years, she was affiliated with the Eastern Star. She later relocated to Shreveport, Louisiana, with her daughter and reunited with Lakeside Baptist Church where she was a faithful servant, a member of the usher board and was appointed mother of the church by Reverend Frank Taylor, Sr. She was the oldest member of the church. She was a sweet, kind, and gentle person, always had a smile on her face. She was a faithful servant until her health began to fail, and her family moved her to Deerfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Delhi, Louisiana. Her parents, daughter, Lucille Johnson, and sons, Tommie Lee Williams, Willie Lee Williams, and Eddie Lee Williams, preceded her in death.
She leaves behind to honor and celebrate her life’s journey: her daughter, Audrey Mae Cleveland of Delhi, Louisiana, 20 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, 77 great-great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
