Mitchell Wayne Nabors, Sr., was born on September 27, 1961, in Monroe, LA. He was the fifth child born to the late Maggie and Edward Nabors. Mitchell accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Onelife Church in Alexandria, LA. Mitchell attended Wossman High School in Monroe, LA. He enlisted in the military on February 18, 1981, serving 14 years, 11 months, as an automated logistics specialist in the Army. Mitchell retired from the Army and worked at CIF in Fort Polk, LA, for over 17 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Maggie Nabors; three brothers, Charles Overton, Robert Nabors, and Donald Ray Nabors; and two sisters, Racheal Denise Nabors and Dianne Ruth Nabors.
Mitchell was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports, and shopping. He was called to eternal rest on November 6, 2023. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Mitchell leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Theresa Nabors; three children, Mitchell (Briana) Nabors, Jr., Dominique (Ashton Hopkins) Nabors, and Milinda Turner; three stepchildren, Danny Frazier, Shundrika Johnson, and Kendrick Randle; four siblings, Carolyn (Curtis) Handy, Deborah Nabors, Bruce Nabors, and Amanda Nabors; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
