Minerva Pollard was born on March 23, 1960 in Waterproof, Louisiana to Lee Andrew Pollard and Carrie Lee Pollard of Newellton, Louisiana.
She was baptized at an early age. She was a member of Martin Chapel Baptist Church until her health declined. She graciously participated in services at her church and community.
Minerva loved and served God with all her heart, she was a very free Spirit. She never met a stranger and all that came in contact with her loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Lee Andrew and Carrie Pollard, her biological mother, Maggie Brooks. One brother, Larry Pollard, one sister Lillie Pollard.
Minerva will be missed and always remembered in the hearts of her family: Seven brothers, Billy Pollard of St. Joseph, Louisiana, Willie Sharp (Tammy), Raymond Sharp, Ricky Sharp of Denver, Colorado, Jerry Brooks, Stacy Sharp of Houston, Texas and Dennis Brooks of Alexandria, Louisiana. Three sisters, Shirley Brooks, Melanie Sharp of Alexandria, Louisiana, Pamela Sharp of Denver, Colorado. A loving niece Melissa Gillis (David) of Monroe, Louisiana, her God-mother Thelma Guice and very special friend/caregiver Debra Whitney. She leaves many fond memories with a host of nieces, cousins; and other relatives and friends.
