Obituary
Michael Wayne Gulley, Sr. was born on May 23, 1958, in Columbia, LA, to the late Leola Mae Gulley and Rueben Williams. Michael passed peacefully away at his home on July 17, 2023, due to health issues.
Michael was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church. He attended Union Central Elementary and Caldwell Parish High School where he graduated with several recognitions for track, football, and basketball. At the age of 19, Michael went to truck driving school; driving trucks was his life.
Outside of those big trucks was his love for his horses. There was nothing he couldn’t do with a horse. He was a true cowboy to his heart.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Leola Gulley; father, Rueben Williams; and sister, Shirley Gulley.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Cam Gulley, Courtney Gulley, Chris Gulley, Mikalneshia Waters, Marla Gulley, and Michael Wayne Gulley, Jr.; siblings, Vickie Gulley (George), Billy Williams, and Willie Johnson; ten grandchildren; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
