Brother Michael Antonio May was born January 5, 1960, to Josephine May and Edward James Blunt, Jr., at E.A. Conway in Monroe, Louisiana.
He accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Delhi High School and went to work right out of high school. Over the years he worked for several correctional facilities, various construction companies, and he also worked as a security guard at a casino. He worked for M and T Property Management doing maintenance at several apartment complexes until health problems led to his retirement. He also did carpenter work in his spare time.
Mr. May departed this life on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at his home in Monroe, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine May Loyd; stepfather, Cardell Loyd, Sr.; grandparents, Carrie May Renode and James Otis McCall, Sr.; great-grandparents, Benjamin and Charlotte May; an uncle, Carl Davis, Jr.; and two brothers, Carlos Loyd and Tony Blunt.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Edward James Blunt, Jr., of Monroe, LA; a special friend of over twenty years, LaTonya Jiles; three young ladies he loved as his daughters, Italy Jiles, Jinesia Spruill, and NaKeithalyn Jiles (Dale), all of Monroe, LA; two grandkids, Kendyl and La Dell Coleman of Monroe, LA; two sisters, Tricia Loyd and Aretha Loyd of Delhi, LA; three brothers, Cardell Loyd, Jr., Mitchell May (Arlene) of Dehli, LA, and Arthur Hunter (Jackie) of Bernice, LA; two uncles, Sonny Wilson of Los Angeles, CA and James Otis McCall, Jr., of Eudora, AR; aunt, Christine Wilson of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
