Ms. Mary Elaine Boughton was born April 23, 1955, to Sallie V. Boughton and Nathaniel Boughton of Monroe,
LA.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Union Chapel Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.

Mary attended Lincoln Elementary School, Carroll Junior High, and Carroll High School where she was Valedictorian class of 1973. Then she graduated from Louisiana Tech University.

Mary was employed at Ochsner LSU Health Monroe Medical Center for over 30 years in the Patient Access Department. Mary loved cooking and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sallie V. Boughton; father, Nathaniel Boughton; and brothers, Nathaniel Boughton, Jr., Villie Robinson, Ortis Dixon, and Harold Boughton.

Surviving family members include: her sister, Charlotte B. Young of West Monroe, LA; brother, Grover B. Boughton of Oakland, CA; close nieces, Monita Rogers (Rochelle) of High Point, NC, and Ja’Naiya Rogers of High Point, NC; special niece, Jasmine White of High Point, NC; she loved and adored her nieces and nephews, as if they were her own, Hen’rie White, La’Torie White, Stacey Boughton, LaKeshia Boughton, Damean Boughton, Ashley Boughton, Crystal Boughton Lovett, Harold Boughton, Jr., and Christopher Boughton; great-niece and nephew, Allania White (Pooda) and Kendrick Harris (Mooskie); best friend of 45 years, Dedria Butler; cousin, Flossie Brown; and a host of other family and friends who loved and adored her from near and far.
