Mack Mason was born on July 7, 1960, in Monroe, Louisiana, to parents Irma Jean Adams and Albert Mason. He was raised by his mother, Irma Jean Adams Huey, and stepfather, John Huey. Mack was a graduate of Richwood High School, class of 1978. Mack married Frances Johnson and to that union he had a son, Antoine Mason, and daughter, Lakedra Mason Gorman.
Mack, known as “Shane” to many, was a dedicated and hard working man. Upon his separation from Frances Johnson he move from Monroe to Gaithersburg, Maryland in the early 1990s, and started his own flooring company. Around 2003, Mack decided to return back home to Monroe, Louisiana to be with his family.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tangie Huey.
He leaves to cherish his memories: son, Antoine Mason & daughter Lakedra Gorman; grandchildren Demarius Rucks Jr, Kendyl Gorman, & Lailah Gorman; sister Connie Adams; brothers Alvin Mason, Joel Huey, & Rodney Huey, nieces DeComa Adams, Rodneyqua Huey & Arneice Dorsey; nephews, Carlos Adams, Terrance Adams, LaTario Huey & Marvin England. He leaves to cherish his memory a host of other family members and friends.
