Lula Mae Green was born on February 8, 1952, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Mr. William Green, Sr., and Louise Moore Green.
She attended Carver Elementary and Carroll High School. At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Beth Eden Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Cleophas Simmons, where she sang in the choir, taught children Sunday School Class, and held the position of Sunday School Secretary, which she enjoyed very much until her health began to fail.
Her passion was daily reading of the Bible. She loved her family very much. Lula was a faithful member of the Beth Eden Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Tommy Joe Taylor, until her health failed.
Lula passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Green, Sr., and two brothers, John Green and William Green, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Louise Green; sister; Patricia (Willie) Zeigler; two brothers, Robert (Zenna) Green of Washington DC and Pastor Ronald (Marilyn) Green; long-time friend, Agnes Powell; aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins relatives, church family, and friends.
