“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.”
Brother Lonnie Pleasant, Jr., was born to Lonnie Pleasant, Sr., and Carolyn Brown on November 18, 1986, at Delhi Hospital in Delhi, Louisiana.
Lonnie was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Eugene Young and joined the Bellview Baptist Church. Later, he was under the leadership of Reverend William Cleveland. Lonnie attended and graduated from Delhi High School Class of 2005, where he ran track and was a member of the marching band. He also attended Grambling State University.
Lonnie was loved by many. He had such a quiet and humble spirit. The happiest day of his life was on October 21, 2023, when his son, Ky’Son Pleasant, was born.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Earl and Gracie Williams; and paternal grandparents, John Henry and Betty Pleasant.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his parents, Caroly Brown and Lonnie (Cynthia) Plesant; mother-in-love, Pamela May; son whom he truly adored, Ky’Son Pleasant; fiancée, Britney May; sons, Treyson May and JaKyrie May; brother, Vidal Dilonga (Malik) and Larry Harris, Jr.; godbrother, Xavier Williams; 15 aunts; four great-aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
