“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” – II Timothy 4:7
Sister Lisa Warren was born on July 24, 1967, to the late Ms. Freddie Mae Hewitt and Mr. Houston Peevy.
She departed this life on April 13, 2025, after fighting a long, courageous battle with cancer. She accepted Christ at an early age at Olive Branch Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of the late Reverend Everette E. Slack.
Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved life. She worked for the Cracker Barrel restaurant for over 20 years until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Allen Dale, Dennis, and Paul Hewitt; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Letha B. Taylor; and father-in-law, Mr. R. L. Warren.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories in the hearts of her husband, Rivers Warren; two daughters, Erica and Alisha Hewitt of West Monroe; five sisters, Letha, Nora Hewitt, Patricia Orange (Jimmy), Nancy Conway (Micheal), all of West Monroe, and Mrs. Helen Benton (Jerry) of Bastrop, LA; three brothers, James “Hammer” Taylor of West Monroe, Roger Taylor of Stockton, CA, and Freddie Taylor (Betty) of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
