Leon Williams was born in Monroe Louisiana, to the late Perry Lee and Elizabeth Wade of Monroe.
He attended Clark & Lincoln Elementary School, later Richwood High School, he then moved to Arkansas with his grand parents Jessie and Anna Ward where he finished his education.
After relocating back to Monroe Leon joined the Seigle Community Baptist Church where he was baptized under the late James Toliver. At Seigle, Leon was a faithful member of the Men Sunday School class, Bible study, VBS Van driver, driver of many church out of town trips, Senior Usher, Male Chorus President, and Chairman of Deacon Ministry. Leon remained a faithful member until his was done.
Leon was a skilled car care attended where he would wash, wax, and buff cars at Car Wash West in West Monroe. After Car Wash West, he worked at Coors Beer RC company, BFI, IRG, Monroe Transit, Family Dollar, Service Master and he remained a faithful worker at Monroe City Schools as the bus Driver of Bus 220.
Leon leaves to cherish his memories: his sons Leon Williams, Jr of California; Joshua Williams of Texas; Corey Pleasant of Monroe Louisiana; his daughters, Jessica Williams of Monroe; Nikki (Bishop Rodney) McFarland of Monroe; Jurushia Shantel Frankin of California; Tracy Wade of Texas; Sandra (Charles) Anderson of Texas; his brothers. Edgar (Ethal) Williams, Richard Lee, Lane Lee, all of Monroe; David Williams of Shreveport, Louisiana; his sisters, Sara Lee, JoAnn Adams, and Diane (Corey) Cole, all of Monroe, a special nephew, Joffery Williams of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; 15 grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces nephews family and friends.
