Leon Cooks, Sr., was born in Winnsboro, LA on November 16, 1943 to James Cooks and Ola Fenroy.
He enjoyed working as a farmer and being around his friends and family and most of all he loved the word of God. He was a simple and casual person who enjoyed life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annette Cooks; brother, Eddie Cooks of Winnsboro, LA; two sisters, Martha Blanson of Winnsboro, LA, and Evelyn Lawrence of Los Angeles, CA.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his caregiver for over forty years, Henrietta Cain of Winnsboro, LA; five sons, Leon Cooks, Jr (Talanzo), Travis Cain of Winnsboro, LA, Kelvin Wilford of Winnsboro, LA, Vernon Pearson of Shreveport, LA, and Deon of Winnsboro, LA; two daughters, Michelle Cain of Winnsoro, LA and Linda Richardson of Winnsboro, LA.
