Leola Harris

Leola Harris was born March 20, 1959 to the late Henry and Minnie Harris. She was the first born of five children.

Leola confessed Christ at an early age, under the leadership of Reverend Johnny Henderson.

Leola received her early education in the Madison Parish School System. She was a graduate of the Reuben McCall High School Class of 1977. After graduating high school, Leola continued her studies at the University of Louisiana at Monroe to pursue a career as a nurse.

Leola moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in the early 1980s. Leola was employed at Sunrise Hospital for 40 years until her death.

Leola is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and two brothers.

Leola leaves to cherish her memories: her companion for 36 years, Roy Harris; two brothers, Henry Harris and Thomas Harris (LaTonya), both of Tallulah, Louisiana; four sisters, Sandra Harris and Lorene Harris, both of Tallulah, Louisiana; Lillie Smith (Johnnie) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Vernon Coleman (Quinton) of Fort Washington, Maryland; a special nephew, Thomas Harris, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, one aunt, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
