Knia Shalette Harper-Williams was born on September 14, 1974, to David Jones, Sr., and the late Valerie Harper. Knia departed this life here on earth October 16, 2024. Knia was born in Monroe, Louisiana. Knia worked as a caregiver at the Christus St. Joseph's Assisted Living Nursing Home. In her youth, she joined True Vine Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Greg Oliver. She later united with Lifeline Fellowship under the leadership of David Otis, where she was a member until she departed this earth.
Knia met the love of her life, James Williams, Jr., and united in Holy Matrimony on June 1992. To this union, six children were born. She enjoyed spending time with family and planning events with her children, grandkids, and extended family and friends. She leaves to cherish: her spouse of thirty-six years, James Williams, Jr.; six children, Janisha Browhow (Pierre), James Williams III, Janterrias Harper, Jasmine Davis (Darrius), Jamie Williams (Trinno), and J'Markeyce Williams (Floreshia); grandmother, Katie Seaberry; father, David Jones Sr. (June); mother-in-love, Dianne Jones (Arthur); four brothers, Kemius Harper (Mary), David Jones, Derrick Jones, and Jason Jones; two sisters, Katherine Byers (Emanuel) and Dellicia Johnson (Angelo); aunt, Deborah Whalen (James); uncle, John Wilson, Jr.; two God-sons, Shun'darrius Brooks and Dylan Roberts; God-daughter, John'Navla Baker; and a host of sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
Knia was preceded in death by mother, Valerie Harper; great-grandmothers, Tedie Savannah and Lassie Wilson; great-grandfather, Milton Wilson; grandfather, John Wilson, Sr.; uncle, Joseph Wilson; and brother, Ernest Harper.
