Obituary

Today we celebrate the life of our mother, Juanita Brown Curry, firstborn of Herman Brown and Bernie Grimble Brown on January 24, 1947. They welcomed her again on Saturday, June 11, 2022, when she departed this world for a heavenly one where the streets are paved with gold.

Juanita grew up in Delhi, Louisiana, but moved to Houston, Texas, with her husband, Robert Earl Curry, and their daughters, Gwendolyn Renee and Sheryl Denise, where she lived life to the fullest with many friends and family. One friend who's more like family, Katherine McZeal, was a faithful and loving friend to Mom for fifty years. They spoke daily, sometimes multiple times
a day, and Mom was a second mom to Katherine's daughter, Kim, and her girls, Taylor and Kennedy.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Bernie Grimble Brown; brother, Junebug; granddaughter, Telese; and niece, Shandreka. What a joyous reunion that must have been last week Mom leaves for now: her two daughters, Gwendolyn Kenee and Sheryl Denise; sons-in-law, Reginald Jack and Roy Harris; granddaughter, Zoila; grandson, Chris (Chan) and his baby Zion; granddaughter, Kelli; great-granddaughter, Tanice; great-grandson, Micah; sister, Daisy Ann (Ronnie); brother, Jimmy "Pistol Brown: and a host of cousins. family and friends who loved her dearly. We love you, Mom, and we can't wait to see you again.
