Joyce was born June 21, 1954 in Monroe, Louisiana to Brooksie Bailey.
She married Thomas Edward Banks on November 16, 1979. They moved to Hobbs, New Mexico where they started a family producing three children; Aiasha Lashell Banks, Myiesha Denise Curry, and Reco O’Neal Curry.
She accepted Christ in her life at an early age.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching western movies and Soap Operas.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Thomas and by her brother Joseph Curry.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grand children, and siblings; Mary Curry, Louvay Pratt, Clara Ann Finister, William Bailey, Barbra Freshly, Samuel Bailey, Linda Hall, and Glinda Jackson. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
