Joseph Earl Bell, Sr. Obituary

The Life Journey of
Brother Joseph Earl Bell, Sr.

Joseph Earl Bell, Sr., was born on November 29, 1961, to the proud parents of Roosevelt Windom and Mrs. Sadie Lee Bell Williams in Mound, Louisiana. Joseph “Dick” Bell departed this life on Friday morning, March 22, 2024, at 4:45 a.m. at the River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
He confessed Christ at an early age at the Mound Able Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E.E. Tutt. Joseph was educated in Thomastown and Reuben McCall High Schools. He was a loving father, husband, and brother. Joseph “Dick” Bell was a very hardworking man. He was very dedicated to his job at the Madison Parish Barn, as a grater operator, for the last thirteen and a half years. He was a mechanic, only to name a few. But “Dick,” as we called him, was a jack of all trades; he could tear down and fix anything. He loved hunting during deer season. His passion was fixing on his own vehicles. He wouldn’t stop until he got those vehicles on the road.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Windom and Sadie Bell; grandparents, Hudson Bell and Annie Bell; aunt, Helen Bell; brothers, Charles E. Bell and Albert Parish; sisters, Rosa Bell Parks and Mary E. Bell; cousins, George E. Bell, Jr., and Joseph “Mott” Bell; niece, April Bell; and nephew, Cameron D. Cammack.

Joseph “Dick” Bell leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of thirty-four years, Pamela Banks Bell; two sons, Joseph Bell, Jr., of Tallulah, LA, and Omarion Bell of Dallas, TX; mother-in-law, Annie Banks of Vicksburg, MS; sisters, Rosetta Glover, Barbara Puckett (Billy), and Frankie Cammack (Carl), Sr., of Tallulah, LA, Fannie Williams, and Alberta Wiley; brothers, Eddie Bell (Pamela) of Vicksburg, MS, Michael Bell (Andrea) of Tallulah, LA, and Rochester Windom of Fairfax, OK; sister, Annie B. Townsend (Willie Lee) of Columbus, GA; nephew, Dejuan Banks; sisters-in- law, Missy Banks of Delta, LA, Stacey Banks of Vicksburg, MS, and Natasha Mouton (Greg) of Lafayette, LA; brother-in-law, Kalvin Bo-Banks of Tallulah, LA; special friend/brother, Ronnie Ford of Tallulah, LA; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
